About The Position
Private Duty is seeking compassionate, dependable Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to provide high-quality, one-on-one nursing care in a private duty home care setting. Opportunities are available for both standard private duty assignments (consistent clients) and floater roles (supporting multiple clients/locations as needed). These positions are ideal for LPNs who value personalized care, strong patient relationships, and making a meaningful impact in a home environment. Floater roles are best suited for nurses who enjoy variety, adaptability, and supporting care continuity across multiple homes. Service Locations We are currently hiring for positions in the following areas: Nashville, TN Murfreesboro, TN Nolensville, TN Lebanon, TN Hartsville, TN Pleasant View, TN Gallatin & Cottonville, TN Columbia, TN Arrington, TN Springfield, TN (Floater roles may travel between select locations as assigned.)
Requirements
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of employment
- Previous private duty or home care experience preferred
- Strong clinical and observational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work independently and provide consistent, patient-focused care
- Compassionate, reliable, and professional demeanor
- Reliable transportation (required for Floater roles)
- Current CPR certification

- Previous private duty or home care experience
Responsibilities
- Provide direct, one-on-one nursing care in clients' homes
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, within scope of practice
- Monitor patient conditions and report changes to the care team
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed
- Perform routine nursing tasks such as wound care, vital signs, and basic treatments
- Educate patients and families on care routines and health management
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided
- Ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for clients
- For Floater roles: adapt quickly to different home settings and patient needs
