Requirements

  • 3+ years' acute care experience in a clinical or healthcare setting
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems
  • Advanced CPR certification
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Compassionate and patient-centered approach
  • Continuing education in specialized areas of nursing
  • Valid LPN license and registration in the State of Tennessee
  • Graduation from an accredited practical nursing program
  • Excellent knowledge of nursing principles, procedures, and standards of care
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize workload and multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail and critical thinking skills
  • Compassionate and empathetic nature, with the ability to provide emotional support to patients
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays

Responsibilities

  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
  • Monitor and record patient vital signs and symptoms, communicating any significant changes to the healthcare team
  • Assist with diagnostic tests and follow-up appointments, ensuring patients receive appropriate care
  • Collaborate with registered nurses and doctors to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families regarding healthcare procedures and self-care techniques
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with regulatory standards
  • Assist in wound care, dressing changes, and other routine medical procedures
  • Ensure the cleanliness and organization of patient rooms, equipment, and supplies
  • Adhere to infection control protocols and contribute to maintaining a safe and sterile environment
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities to enhance nursing skills
