We are seeking a highly skilled LPN to join our Acute Rehab team at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center! This role offers the opportunity to work with diverse patient populations, providing exceptional care. St. Mary’s is a 229-bed, acute care hospital located in Enid, OK. St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center has served the healthcare needs of northwest Oklahoma for more than 100 years. We host more than 125 highly skilled physicians offering specialties in Cardiology, Neurology, Orthopedics, Emergency Medicine, Rehabilitation, Laboratory, Women’s Imaging, Wound Care, and more. Website: https://www.stmarysregional.com Position Summary: The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) practices under the direction or supervision of the professional registered nurse. The LPN implements nursing care for assigned patients and assists the RN in the assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation of nursing care. This includes demonstrating competency in strong basic patient care skills, clerical/courier duties, stocking, transporting, specific patient care duties, and other departmental duties as requested. May be floated as needed treating all diversities. Actively demonstrates a passion for patient care while demonstrating service recovery if needed and displays service excellence at all times. Follows standard of care as defined within scope of Licensed Practical Nurse and reflects the American Nurses Association’s Code of Ethics for Nurses and the Nurse Practice Act of Oklahoma.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited LPN program.
  • Current LPN license in Oklahoma.
  • BLS (current upon hire).
  • Venipuncture skills required.
  • Basic computer skills.

Nice To Haves

  • One year of full time or three years part time experience in acute care setting preferred.
  • De-escalation training (TEAM) completed within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains required licensures and certifications up to date as required by job description.
  • Knows, understands, and adheres to hospital/department policies and procedures.
  • Follows established hospital/department safety policies.
  • Attends mandatory in-services and pertinent seminars.
  • Effectively communicates both orally and in writing in English.
