Requirements

  • Current license to practice as an LPN in the State of Georgia, certified or registered medical assistant, or prior experience as a CNA, PCA, or Phlebotomist preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required for Medical Assistant or Patient Care Assistant candidates.
  • Graduate of a Licensed Practical Nurse program for LPN candidates.
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support Certification required for licensed practical nurse or medical assistant candidates.

Nice To Haves

  • Current license to practice as an LPN in the State of Georgia, certified or registered medical assistant, or prior experience as a CNA, PCA, or Phlebotomist preferred.
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support Certification required for licensed practical nurse or medical assistant candidates. Preferred, but not required for patient care assistant.

Responsibilities

  • Reviewing and evaluating results of diagnostic tests and taking appropriate action
  • Assisting in performing exams, diagnostic procedures and treatments, and minor medical procedures
  • Assisting with the development of patient education plans
