The Virginian is seeking an experience Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for our Assisted Living neighborhood . The ideal candidate will be responsible for directing the care provided to our residents in accordance with professional standards of practice. Supervising experience is a must. The ideal candidate must be a good communicator, high organizational skills, knowledgeable of Microsoft Office/Point Click Care, and exceptional time management skills.

Requirements

  • Licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
  • Experience/knowledge in LTC/AL/MC; current clinical knowledge and experience with the senior population.
  • Ability to collaborate and motivate other healthcare providers; strong/effective problem-solving skills.
  • Display enthusiasm, leadership ability and tact.
  • Strong computer skills, proficient with Electronic Health Record.
  • Current nursing license valid the Virginia State Board of Nursing or Compact License
  • Willingness to be available for any/all emergencies regarding the community.

Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADL), family/social activities and actively promote independent lifestyle of residents while dealing with Dementia.
  • Responsible for identification of resident medical and behavioral changes and the development and monitoring of care plans and reassessment of each resident.
  • Provide daily report to the Director of Assisted Living and Director of Memory Care concerning community conditions, personnel performance, resident conditions, and needs for nursing supplies.
  • Provide nursing care according to physician’s orders and in conformance with recognized nursing practice, established standards, and administrative policies.
  • Ensure preventative, therapeutic, and rehabilitative services to residents and assist in the coordination of nursing care with care rendered by other disciplines.
