About The Position

Benson Heights Rehabilitation Center in Kent is seeking a dependable Licensed Practical Nurse, LPN, to join their team. The center specializes in the care of residents who have psychiatric and behavioral health care needs, meaning most residents are mentally ill (e.g., schizophrenic, bipolar) in addition to their medical illnesses. The facility has an in-house mental health program and mental health case managers who handle behavioral interventions and care planning.

Requirements

Must hold and maintain a current license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in practicing state.
Demonstrates understanding that state and Federal rules and regulations govern the practices within the facility.
Ongoing pursuit of Continuing Education Credits in clinical subjects, management, personal growth and development.
Must pass criminal background investigation, reference inquiry, and vaccine mandate attestation requirements of either having been vaccinated or present documentation needed for a medical or religious exemption.

Responsibilities

Participate in the development, implementation and modification of the comprehensive plan of care for facility residents under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice registered nurse, licensed physician or other health care provider authorized by the state.
Practice within the legal boundaries for practical nursing authorized by the state for the delivery of patient care and related services.
