About The Position
Adelphi is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide nursing support services in a school setting located in Chesapeake, Virginia. The ideal candidate will assist in delivering student care under established protocols while collaborating with school staff and supervising RNs.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
- Active Virginia LPN license (or compact license)
- Current CPR/AED (BLS) certification
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience
- Experience: Medication Administration, electronic health records (EHR), and basic first aid triage
- Skills: Willingness to learn to care for students with tracheostomy, suctioning, seizures, G-tubes, allergy/asthma/oxygen, diabetes, catheterizations, ostomies
Nice To Haves
- Pediatrics experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing support services in accordance with District requirements
- Adhere to HIPAA and FERPA regulations
- Maintain professional and ethical conduct
- Work within District schedules and operational hours
- Notify appropriate personnel of absences
- Comply with all District policies, screenings, and training
- Any other duties as assigned
