About The Position

Lancaster Behavioral Health Hospital (LBHH) in Lancaster, PA is hiring full-time LPNs for an evening shift position. LBHH is a newly opened (July, 2018) 126-bed, inpatient psychiatric hospital and a start-up joint venture between Lancaster General Health/Penn Medicine and Universal Health Services. The facility offers services including a general adult unit, a dedicated adolescent unit, a psychiatric-medical unit for co-occurring disorders, an an intensive adult unit for severe conditions, and a women’s trauma unit. The role offers an excellent benefits package and a sign-on bonus of $7,500. The schedule is 36 hours per week on an evening shift (9a - 9:30p, every third weekend), with opportunities for overtime and covering various shifts. Requirements

• State of PA License Practical Nurse.

Nice To Haves

• One year of LPN experience preferred.
• Behavioral health experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conducts ongoing and individualized nursing care duties as assigned and as dictated by the patient’s condition in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols.
• Collaborates with other team members in the development, implementation, and evaluation of an individualized plan of care.
• Performs treatments and therapies as ordered by physician in an appropriate and timely fashion.
• Documents patient care, findings, and psychosocial responses to nursing interventions.
• Documents PRN medications given, reason and effect.
• Initiates emergency measures according to age appropriate CPR and client resuscitation protocols.
• Participates in emergency crisis interventions according to age appropriate techniques.
