Learn more at www.axiawh.com . We are currently recruiting for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Center for Urogynecology and Pelvic Health in King of Prussia, PA. The LPN professional engages Axia Women’s Health patients either directly or by telephone, assisting with patient triage, recording critical patient information, and providing information to patients so that they may fully benefit from our clinical services.
Requirements
- Excellent communication skills and phone etiquette.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work flexible schedule and travel to satellite location(s), where applicable, as needed.
- Degree from an accredited nursing program.
- Active state LPN license.
- CPR Certification required.
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience working as an LPN in a medical facility/office, preferably OB/GYN.
Nice To Haves
- eClinicalWorks (EMR) experience a plus.
- Knowledge of specific lab order sets beneficial.
- Knowledge of CPT coding beneficial.
Responsibilities
- Utilizes established triage protocols and guidelines to evaluate and assess patient’s/caller’s health care needs based on signs, symptoms, complaints, and lab results.
- Obtains appropriate input and direction from care center RNs or providers, as needed, to determine and recommend the best clinical course of action for specific patient’s/caller’s health care.
- Accurately documents patients’/callers’ signs, symptoms, complaints, nursing assessments, provided advice, and responses in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Pulls lab and imaging results, adds them to the EMR, and consults with physicians or RNs regarding test results as needed.
- Assists with medication refill requests following provider-approved protocols and under appropriate supervision.
- Performs phlebotomy (where permitted by state regulations and facility policies).
- Provides patient education on prescribed follow-ups, medications, and therapies, and reinforces provider-directed instructions.
- Assists, as needed, with phone triage under RN or provider supervision.
