The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides care and directs the staff to follow the resident plan of care as determined by the Head Nurse.We are committed to providing preventative and restorative care to all residents and clients here at Rockingham County. We want our residents to feel safe, comfortable, and supported in all aspects of their lives to include not only physical, but also emotional, social, spiritual, environmental, and intellectual well-being. Our LPN's supervise, assign, and evaluate the work performance of LNA's on the unit assigned, and further identify any educational opportunities. They perform and sign drug counts at the change of shift, as well as assess, identify, and report any changes in resident status. Additionally, the LPN assumes responsibility for all aspects of care related to admissions, transfers, or discharges, follows all established safety and infection control policies/procedures, and oversees all documentation/reporting in accordance with Rockingham County policy standards and State/Federal requirements.

Requirements

  • Must be a graduate of a state approved school of nursing and possess a valid New Hampshire LPN License.
  • Must possess qualities of leadership and have a genuine interest in geriatric nursing
  • Must possess ability to work harmoniously with others and delegate authority wisely.

Responsibilities

  • Provides care and directs the staff to follow the resident plan of care as determined by the Head Nurse
