About The Position

At Valley Regional Hospital, patients are the center of our coordinated care system and right now we have an opening for an LPN to join our team. The primary responsibility of the LPN is: Provides direct patient care under the supervision of a RN and/or physician, evaluates outcomes, consults with other health team members as required and adjusts nursing care processes as indicated to ensure optimal patient care. Ability to perform a head-to-toe assessment, under the supervision of a RN and/or physician, on all patients as per policy. This includes neonate, pediatric, adolescent and geriatric patients and the general patient population. Ability to adequately assess and reassess pain. Utilizes appropriate pain management techniques. Educates the patient and family regarding pain management. Medical and surgical asepsis is carried out during treatments and special procedures. Maintains a safe, comfortable and therapeutic environment for patients and families in accordance with office/clinic standards.

Requirements

  • Current LPN Licensure in State of New Hampshire
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Ability to be flexible, organized, and function under stressful situations.
  • Ability to be a self-motivated learner, to take initiative in learning the many complex processes
  • Exhibits professionalism at all times, understands appropriate workplace behavior/communications.
