About The Position

Join Aurora BayCare’s 19-bed Observation Unit, a fast-paced environment designed with a unique structure and floor layout to support efficient, high-quality care for a diverse patient population. The team nursing model fosters collaboration among CNAs, LPNs, and RNs, ensuring seamless delivery of daily cares, assessments, medications, and discharge planning. The unit specializes in postoperative care, including orthopedic surgery, neurosurgery, urologic surgery, cardiac pacemaker/ablation, and breast surgery, and also manages general medical patients requiring short-term observation stays. Many patients are cared for by an in-house hospitalist team, streamlining communication and coordination. It is a dynamic setting with frequent admissions and discharges, offering variety and challenge every day. Team members may also float to other units when needed, providing opportunities to broaden skills and experience across the hospital.
