About The Position

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide high-quality nursing care in a long-term care setting. The LPN will deliver direct patient care, supervise nursing assistants, and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations while promoting resident well-being and safety.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an approved LPN program or accredited nursing school
  • Active Massachusetts LPN license required
  • BLS / CPR / AED certification required
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Knowledge of nursing practices and LTC regulations
  • Leadership and supervisory abilities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to make independent clinical decisions
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills
  • Professional handling of confidential information
  • Team-oriented approach to patient care

  • Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care in accordance with individualized care plans
  • Supervise and guide nursing assistants during assigned shifts
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
  • Transcribe physician orders into charts, medication records, and care plans
  • Monitor resident conditions and document nursing notes accurately
  • Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges
  • Communicate with physicians regarding care plans and changes in condition
  • Perform clinical procedures such as catheterization, tube feeding, suctioning, and wound care
  • Collect specimens (urine, blood, sputum) for testing
  • Record vital signs including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure
  • Participate in care planning and interdisciplinary team collaboration
  • Provide education to residents and families
  • Ensure adequate supplies and medications on the unit
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines
  • Support audits, surveys, and quality improvement initiatives
  • Assist with orientation of new staff and residents
  • Follow infection control and safety protocols
  • Deliver excellent customer service to residents, families, and staff
