About The Position

Cedar Park Med is hiring experienced Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) for Adult Psychiatry and the Psych Float Pool for a 13-week assignment with possible extension. This role is ideal for LPNs with psychiatric experience who are comfortable working in behavioral health settings and supporting patients with a range of mental health needs. Schedule/Shift info: Day shift 7am-7.30pm Night shift 7pm - 7.30am 13-week assignment (possible extension) Every other weekend and some holidays required

Requirements

Current New York State LPN license
Current CPR certification or ability to certify/re-certify
Minimum 1 year of LPN experience
Psychiatric experience required

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care in an adult psychiatry setting with minimal orientation and supervision
Monitor patients, observe behavior and condition changes, and report updates to the care team
Take and record vital signs, patient progress, and other clinical information
Assist with medication administration, injections, and routine procedures as directed
Support physicians and nurses with patient care and treatment plans
Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR
Help maintain safe, organized clinical areas and support daily unit workflow
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team
