Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in an office-based, non-clinical role. This position has primary responsibilities in supporting providers and staff by entering provider order, maintaining accurate documentation and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. This role does not involve direct patient care, nursing knowledge will be key to keeping workflows accurate and efficient.

Requirements

  • Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license (active and in good standing)
  • 2-3 years of experience working as an LPN in a medical environment preferred
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and documentation standards
  • Prior experience in medical office work or order entry preferred
  • Proficiency with Point Click Care (PCC) EMR system preferred
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Able to efficiently and effectively communicate with providers on a daily basis
  • Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time
  • Must be able to bend and lift up to 20 lbs.
  • May be exposed to infectious diseases.

Nice To Haves

  • 2-3 years of experience working as an LPN in a medical environment preferred
  • Prior experience in medical office work or order entry preferred
  • Proficiency with Point Click Care (PCC) EMR system preferred

Responsibilities

  • Accurately enter and process physician orders into the electronic medical record (EMR) system
  • Review documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards and regulations
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date patient and provider records
  • Provides, as directed, floor med cart audits
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other departments to support workflow
  • Collaborate with other departments such as Therapy, Dietary, and Consultant Providers to ensure coordinated care
  • Comply with HIPAA regulations
  • Provide reliable support to ensure timely and efficient order entry
  • Provides directed floor med cart audits
