About The Position

At Good Shepherd Hospice, our organization promotes the physical, emotional and spiritual well-being both of the person completing life's journey and their family members by providing comprehensive and compassionate end-of-life care of the highest quality. We are looking for a compassionate LPN with the "Hospice Heart" to join our care team who are committed to providing both medical and emotional support to patients and families. Nassau County 5x 8 hour shifts (4:30pm-12:30am) - Rotating Weekends & Holiday Great Healthcare benefits – Vision, and Dental Education reimbursement of $5,250 Job Details Our Community Hospice LPN’s: Work under the supervision and assignment of the registered nurse to provide top-notch care to hospice patients and their families within a home setting. Communicate status of patient to team Help patient manage pain and end of life symptoms Experience in home care, skilled nursing facilities and/or oncology preferred.

Requirements

Minimum of one to two years prior bedside nursing experience required
Current and valid NY State license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse
Must have a current, valid New York State driver's license and own transportation
