About The Position
Newton Village, a Cassia community, is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team. This position is part-time with the opportunity to increase hours and transition to full-time for candidates interested in additional shifts. We are offering a $5,000 bonus! As a Licensed Practical Nurse at Newton, you'll deliver compassionate, high-quality care to residents, administer medications, and work closely with a dedicated team to ensure the best possible outcomes. Requirements
- Must have a current Iowa LPN license and be in good standing.
- CPR certification or willing to obtain.
- Must have strong communication and organizational skills.
- Self-starter with a desire to be a part of a team.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in Long Term Care preferred.
Responsibilities
- Display a courteous attitude and respect for all residents, families, and staff.
- Administer medications and/or treatment in accordance with physician's orders and monitors for effectiveness/response.
- Manage medications, supplies, and equipment including ordering, receiving, storing, and disposing of all items in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Document resident care using computerized medication administration and charting software.
- Notify Clinical Manager, attending physicians, and family members of significant changes in a resident's condition, and take follow-up action as necessary.
- Performs additional duties as required.
