About The Position

Maxim Healthcare in Denver is hiring for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to work one-on-one with patients needing intermittent homecare visits on the weekends. Most common type of cares needed include catheter care, wound care, diabetic management, and medication management. Visits range from 30 minutes- 1 hour in duration. Why Join Maxim? Responsibilities: Utilizes the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient/client care and/or services provided to client(s) receiving contracted services, as required Initiates the plan of care when directed and requests from prescriber any necessary revisions as patient status and needs change Incorporates therapeutic, preventive, and rehabilitative nursing actions based on patient diagnosis and established goals Intervenes as applicable in response to changes in patient/client condition and reports such changes to appropriate physician or supervisor Administers medications and treatments as prescribed, as well as, monitors and documents effectiveness of intervention Reviews plan of care and program protocols and identifies areas for healthcare teaching/education, care coordination, goal setting and discharge planning needs, as applicable Supports professional practice by observing the following: Nurse Practice Act Standards of Nursing Practice Standards of Patient Care Standards of Accrediting Body (ACHC, Joint Commission, etc.) State and Local Laws Patient Bill of Rights Maxim Healthcare, Nursing, and Client's Policies Adheres to Maxim policy and procedure and applicable protocols Attends case conferences, team meetings, education in-services as required Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) License for the state of Colorado.
  • Current PPD or Chest X-Ray.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • One year prior Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) experience preferred, but not required.
  • Complies with accepted professional standards and practice

Responsibilities

  • Utilizes the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient/client care and/or services provided to client(s) receiving contracted services, as required
