More about our team Fauquier Health’s Medical/Surgical department is a combination unit consisting of Med/Surg, Telemetry, and Progressive Care, with 30 beds total between two floors. Our rapidly growing unit will elevate your nursing skills with a variety of patient cases and acuity levels, such as Cardiac, GI, Renal Failure, and Orthopedics.

Requirements

  • Applicants should have a current Virginia state LPN license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) is required within 7 days of hire.

Responsibilities

  • As supervised and delegated by the registered nurse, performs plan of care interventions, including specimen collection and wound care. May administer medication. Documents patient care given.
  • Provides patient and family education in regard to the hospitalization/admission, medications, and/or in preparation for discharge.
  • Upon discharge, provides appropriate discharge instructions to include follow-up and referral needs.
