About The Position
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). This role involves supporting orthopedic specialists by delivering patient-centered care, ensuring safety, and contributing to positive patient outcomes in a clinical setting.
Requirements
- Ability to provide patient-centered care in a clinical environment
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Willingness to travel between multiple clinic locations
- Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) program
- Active and valid New Jersey LPN license
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification from the American Heart Association
- Minimum 5+ years of experience preferred
- Experience in orthopedic care preferred
- Ability to travel between Paramus and Montvale locations
- No weekend, holiday, or on-call requirements

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care under RN supervision
- Perform systematic data collection, including physiological, psychosocial, and cognitive assessments
- Assist patients with hygiene, ambulation, and meals
- Support preoperative, postoperative, and postmortem care
- Monitor patient conditions and promptly report changes to the RN
- Maintain a safe patient environment by responding to patient needs
- Deliver care tailored to individual patient needs (age, culture, language, etc.)
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Perform medication reconciliation and provide patient education
- Assist with preoperative assessments
