About The Position

Hibbard Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, a family-owned business since 1955, has been providing quality care to the elderly in Dover-Foxcroft, Maine, and surrounding communities. Under the ownership of First Atlantic Healthcare, we continue our tradition of excellence in long-term care. We are currently seeking Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to join our team, with opportunities available for all levels of experience, including new graduates. LPNs will work under the direct supervision of the Director of Nursing (DON) and will be responsible for documenting resident interactions and assisting with their care. This position offers flexible shifts, competitive compensation, and a supportive work environment.

Requirements

• Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
• Currently licensed as an LPN in Maine.

Responsibilities

• Monitor resident's vitals and record them in their file
• Maintain the cleanliness and comfort of each resident, including bathing, feeding, and dressing
• Assist nursing and medical staff with basic medical tasks, such as administering medication
• Update resident records in a confidential manner
• Evaluate the resident's wellbeing, reporting any needs to medical staff
• Explain treatments and procedures to residents and families
• Change dressings and bandages, ensuring residents are healing properly
• Move residents from wheelchairs, beds, and gurneys
