There are still lots of open positions. Let's find the one that's right for you.
As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the Wound Clinic at Banner University Medical Center, you will play a crucial role in providing nursing care under the supervision of registered nurses and licensed physicians. This position is integral to the Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine Clinic, which specializes in treating patients with complicated, chronic, and non-healing wounds. You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team that includes family practice physicians, plastic surgeons, podiatrists, vascular surgeons, general surgeons, and orthopedic surgeons, all of whom have advanced training in wound care. Your responsibilities will include assisting with wound care procedures, managing negative pressure wound dressings, applying lymphedema wraps, taking patient photographs, and monitoring vital signs. You will also be involved in documentation and maintaining a clean clinical environment. The clinic operates on a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week, specifically from Monday to Friday, with shifts structured as four 10-hour days from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM. There are no weekend or holiday shifts required. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain extensive exposure to various types of wounds and receive on-the-job training in lymphedema wrapping. While prior wound care experience is preferred, it is not mandatory. You should be prepared to manage large and complex wounds, work in environments with foul odors, and be exposed to graphic post-operative wounds.
