More about our team Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital is a 66-bed, inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital jointly operated by Lifepoint Rehabilitation and Mercy. Located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, we serve our community by helping patients on their journey to recovery after serious illness or injury. Requirements

  • Applicants should hold a current state licensure as a Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse
  • CPR/BLS certification required
  • Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse program
  • IV Certification highly preferred or must be obtained within 6 months
  • Minimum six months of Medical/Surgical experience in an acute care setting preferred

Responsibilities

  • Administer medications safely, accurately, and based on patient age and clinical condition.
  • Minimize potential for medication errors by following proper medication administration procedures.
  • Assist the RN with initial assessments and patient reassessments per policy.
  • Identify and implement appropriate rehabilitation nursing interventions.
  • Perform timely and accurate Quality Improvement (QI) assessments under RN supervision.
  • Deliver care based on patient response to treatment and update the interdisciplinary plan accordingly.
  • Assess and reassess pain; use appropriate pain management techniques and educate patients and families.
  • Perform all patient care tasks in a manner that promotes patient safety and reduces medical errors.
  • Develop and implement individualized teaching plans based on patient and family learning needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
