Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) – ACTT (Community-Based Mental Health) Pyramid Healthcare | Asheville ACTT 📍 Location: Asheville, NC 🚗 Service Area: Buncombe County, Marshall & surrounding communities 💲 Pay: $25–$30 per hour 🕒 Schedule: Full-Time | Flexible Scheduling Make an Impact Beyond the Clinic Pyramid Healthcare’s Asheville Assertive Community Treatment Team (ACTT) is seeking a compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to deliver high-intensity behavioral health services directly in the community. ACTT is often described as a “hospital without walls” — providing treatment, medication support, and crisis prevention to individuals with severe mental illness where they live. This role is ideal for healthcare professionals who value flexibility, autonomy, and meaningful community-based work. Requirements

  • Active North Carolina LPN license or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification required.
  • Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel throughout Buncombe County, Marshall, and surrounding areas.
  • Comfort working independently in community-based and non-traditional care settings.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in behavioral health, community health, or ACTT strongly preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate client care with prescribing providers and community healthcare partners.
  • Monitor medication compliance and support medication management.
  • Manage medication inventories, refills, and pharmaceutical supplies.
  • Record vital signs and maintain accurate medical documentation.
  • Provide medication education to clients and ACTT staff.
  • Transport clients to medical appointments and community resources as needed.
  • Travel throughout the community to meet clients where they are.
  • Participate in rotating on-call crisis services, including: Crisis planning and support Hospital diversion Assistance with commitment procedures when appropriate
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
