About The Position

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will support the Primary Care Physician (PCP) in daily operations, ensuring efficient and compassionate care for patients. This role involves collaborating with team members to prepare patients for appointments and assist in evaluating their health conditions through routine diagnostic tests.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of work experience as a LPN.
• Nebraska LPN License.
• High school diploma or equivalent education (GED).
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.
• 6+ months' blood draw, phlebotomy, venipuncture, and/or IV experience.

Nice To Haves

• EClinicalWorks or similar EMR experience.
• Experience working with geriatric patients.
• Microsoft Office Suite proficiency (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel).
• Able to travel occasionally for meetings.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient intake: measure vital signs, interview patients, gather medical histories.
• Perform examinations and screenings, addressing patient concerns.
• Engage actively with patients, reporting condition changes to the PCP.
• Manage patient communications: return calls and route inquiries.
• Perform venipunctures and IV starts as state regulations permit.
• Assist with first aid tasks under physician supervision, including dressing changes and CPR when necessary.
