Website: https://www.stmarysregional.com Summary of Job: Performs the functions of LPN in implementing and evaluating nursing care for all assigned patient care in collaboration with a registered nurse. Practices nursing in accordance with established standard of practice, policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Current LPN licensure from the State of Oklahoma required.
• Current BLS required.
• Experience preferred.
• NIH Stroke Scale certified within 2 months of hire.
• Proof of IV therapy course through LPN education program or IV therapy venipuncture activity training course required within 6 months.
• Record of procedure proficiency.
• Venipuncture skills required.
• Basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Participates in the modification of the plan of care by collaborating with other members of the multidisciplinary team with consideration of the developmental needs of the patient.
• Participates in the evaluation of the patient's response to interventions based upon predicted outcome
• Reassesses the patient as defined in the Nursing Standards of Care Policy and modifies the plan of care as needed.
• Contributes to the assessment of the patient by conducting focused assessments of the patient.
• Collects data and compares the data collected to the patient's previous condition and documents/reports as appropriate.
