About The Position

National Park Medical Center, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for their Medical Surgical team. This role is crucial for making communities healthier by providing compassionate care to patients. The LPN will work in a collaborative environment, assessing patient needs, administering treatments, and ensuring patient comfort and safety, all while focusing on delivering high-quality patient care. The center is a 163-bed hospital located in Hot Springs, Arkansas, and is part of a diversified healthcare delivery network committed to making communities healthier with acute care, rehabilitation, and behavioral health facilities from coast to coast.

Requirements

  • Current state LPN license.
  • Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
  • ACLS certification within 90 days of hire.
  • PALS certification within 90 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • One year of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Contributes to the assessment of patients by collecting data for analysis by an RN.
  • Performs plan of care interventions, including specimen collection and wound care; may administer medication.
  • Documents patient care provided.
  • Assists RN with development of plan of care.
  • Assists patients with daily living activities including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
  • Monitors, documents, and communicates patient status and responses to interventions with RN, physician, patient, and family.
  • Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
  • Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
  • Provides quality patient care and works flexible shifts/units as needed.
  • Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
