Licensed Practical Nurse LPN - Med Surg Telemetry
About The Position
This position is for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the Medical Surgical Telemetry Department at Holy Family Medical Center - LTACH in Des Plaines, IL 60016. The schedule is Part Time, 7:00pm - 7:30am with alternating weekends. The Licensed Vocational Nurse/Licensed Psychiatric Technician provides direct and indirect patient care services requiring technical and manual skills, within the scope of practice, that meet the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care, and meets the communication needs of the patient and family. The role performs under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse and requires demonstration of knowledge of EMTALA Regulations and triage process in the ER setting.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) required
- IV certification and Blood Withdrawal (BW) certification within 90 days of hire date
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current
