About The Position
We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) to provide high-quality patient care in a clinical setting. The LPN will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), assisting with patient care, assessments, and clinical procedures while ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing program
- Active New Jersey LPN License
- Current BLS/CPR Certification (American Heart Association)
- Minimum 5+ years of LPN experience preferred
- Strong orthopedic experience required
- Ability to communicate clinical instructions and protocols effectively
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of an RN
- Collect and document patient data, including physiological, psychosocial, and cognitive status
- Assist patients with daily activities such as hygiene, ambulation, and meals
- Support pre-operative, post-operative, and post-mortem care as required
- Monitor patient conditions and promptly report any changes to the RN
- Respond to call lights and ensure patient safety at all times
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Deliver patient-centered care tailored to age, culture, and individual needs
- Assist with medication reconciliation and patient education
- Conduct preoperative assessments and follow established clinical protocols
