About The Position

We are hiring for a Licensed Practical Nurse / LPN / IDD / PT Evening Weekend position at RHA Health Services in Murfreesboro, TN. This role is designed for positive and personable individuals looking to make a real difference in the lives of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, as well as those facing mental health and substance use challenges. The position involves providing professional care aimed at preventing disease and maintaining good health care. The pay is $30.42 per hour, with a schedule of Saturday and Sunday from 2 PM to 10 PM.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited licensed nurse program
  • Current nursing license with no restrictions to practice nursing
  • Current CPR Certification or eligibility to obtain certification
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with Interdisciplinary Team Members, as well as the people supported and their families
  • Must be able to work independently, be organized, and possess the ability to prioritize work tasks
  • Physical requirements include: ability to regularly lift 20 pounds, lift a minimum of 40 pounds, pull a minimum of 25 pounds, squat, kneel, crawl, crouch, climb, and stoop, regularly stand and walk, and demonstrate proficiency in CPR from the floor level
  • Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision

Responsibilities

  • Provide holistic nursing care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
  • Assist the Registered Nurse in delivering quality nursing services to persons supported
  • Provide health related training to unlicensed personnel
  • Administer medications and treatments or assist the person supported with medication administration
  • Assist with ensuring preventative and routine medical appointments are scheduled
  • Conduct medication closest assessments
  • Collect health related data
  • Observe for and report any abnormal health related findings to the physician
  • Communicate with physicians, pharmacies, medical suppliers, and the Interdisciplinary Team
  • Advocate for the people supported and assist with developing community supports to promote optimal health for the people supported
