About The Position

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Hospital supports the Registered Nurse or healthcare provider in delivering high-quality patient care within a hospital setting. This role involves developing and implementing care plans, preparing equipment for procedures, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols under close supervision.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Diploma in Practical Nursing.
• Completion of Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) required within 4 years of hire.
• Current LPN license in North Carolina.
• BLS (CPR) certification from American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider.

Responsibilities

• Collect patient history and medical information for complete case documentation in hospital medical records.
• Assist in developing and implementing care plans as directed by the Registered Nurse or healthcare provider.
• Ensure proper techniques and safety precautions are followed according to Cone Health policies regarding sterile environments.
• Communicate health care instructions to patients and families clearly to support the care plan.
• Respond to emergencies and safety hazards using personal protective equipment and hospital precautions to prevent patient harm.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
