Requirements

• Graduate of a state approved program for licensed practical nurses.
• One year LPN experience.
• Current valid Pennsylvania nursing license.

Responsibilities

• Assists medical staff in carrying out plans for care of patients.
• Assists with office procedures.
• Gives medications as ordered by providers.
• Performs clinical procedures within the scope of practice.
• Informs patients of test results with the approval of the ordering provider.
• Obtains and records vitals.
• Evaluates, plans and administers nursing care to patients in office setting as ordered by physician.
• Demonstrated knowledge of sterility during procedures.
• Under direction of physician assists with procedures in office.
• Identifies educational needs of patients/families and collaborates with RN and other health care professionals to meet those needs.
• Scheduling of diagnostic testing and providing instructions to the patient specific to the ordered testing.
• Collaborates with other disciplines to achieve outcome.
• Demonstrates flexibility, adaptability and ability to change in a dynamic environment.
• Demonstrates ability to work independently as well as a member of an interdisciplinary team.
• Traveling to satellite offices to assist physicians, as needed.
