More about our team This is the position for you if you love to learn. You will be involved with research for new devices, new drug studies with surgeons and part of a great team. How you'll contribute A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) who excels in this role: Conducts study related procedures: Draw & process lab samples, 12 Lead ECGs, Vital signs, perform injections, obtain informed consent. Completes Data Entry. Obtains and appropriately records medical and surgical history and medication list. Assists provider/physician with research eligibility review (strong knowledge of human anatomy & physiology and commonly prescribed medications required). Assists provider/physician with minor clinical procedures. Schedules tests and procedures as needed. Performs various administrative duties, including answering phone patient calls, returning phone calls, receiving and sorting in-coming faxes, completing forms as requested or needed. What we're looking for The right person who will as supervised and delegated by a registered nurse, provides direct patient care in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. Applicants must be a graduate of a practical school of nursing.
Requirements
- Applicants must be a graduate of a practical school of nursing.
- Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse from the Virginia State Board of Nursing or a Compact State.
- AHA BLS certification required.
