Clinic Nurse (LPN) - PRN Shift: Part-time 1st shift (8-4:30PM) Join us at The Chesapeake where we impact lives and build careers! The Nurse is expected to provide and oversee resident care in accordance with community policy and procedure and with federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations that govern community programs, and as may be directed by the Director of Clinic Services and/or Administrator of Health Services to insure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times. Requirements

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Currently licensed as a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse, and in good standing, with the Virginia State Board of Nursing
  • Thorough and current knowledge of methods and practices of nursing care
  • Two years nursing experience, preferably in long-term care, with demonstrated productivity achievement level
  • Must possess the ability to plan, organize and supervise nursing care under the direction of the Director of Clinic Services.
  • Must possess sound clinical nursing skills and the ability to perform crucial physical assessments with hands-on nursing care including the repositioning and transfer-techniques and delivery of urgent nursing care as needed.
  • Effectively communicate with residents, their families and team members
  • Work every other weekend and some holidays
  • Knowledge and understanding of geriatric care and the aging process.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of the principalities of management and leadership
