Your role as a Child & Adolescent Medication Management LPN As a Licensed Practical Nurse in Child & Adolescent Medication Management at the Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board, you will play a critical role in supporting the psychiatric care of young clients. You'll assist the staff psychiatrist in administering, monitoring medications, and ensuring adherence to treatment plans. Your responsibilities will include performing routine physical and mental health assessments, ordering and dispensing medications, and providing essential supportive counseling to clients. You will prepare and maintain accurate medical records and medication inventories while ensuring secure handling of medications. Your skilled nursing duties will involve conducting medical intakes, scheduling examinations, and following up on medical concerns. This position allows you to make a tangible difference in the lives of children and adolescents while working closely with a dedicated team in a supportive environment.
