About The Position

FlexStaff is seeking a Full-Time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for an Assisted Living Facility in Staten Island, NY. This position involves working with one of our clients, a multi-service home care organization. The schedule for this role is Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. The pace in assisted living facilities is generally slower, as residents are typically stable and require less critical care, making for a less stressful work environment compared to hospitals.

Requirements

• New York State LPN License
• CHHA experience preferred
• Home care experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Provide basic nursing care, assist with daily living activities, and administer medications.
• Conduct health assessments, monitor vital signs, and report changes in residents' conditions.
• Perform basic medical procedures (e.g., wound care) under supervision and maintain infection control.
• Offer companionship and communicate effectively with residents and families.
• Maintain accurate medical records and participate in care plan development.
• Work with healthcare staff to ensure comprehensive resident care.
• Adhere to policies and regulations to ensure a safe environment.
• Assist with emergency situations and ensure resident safety.
• Communicate updates and provide education to residents' families.
