About The Position
As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Sylacauga Health and Rehab, you will play a vital role in the nursing team, contributing to the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care. Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for administering nursing care to patients, ensuring their comfort and well-being, and supporting their recovery process. Your duties will include collecting and documenting patient data, observing changes in patient conditions, and participating in the development and modification of nursing care plans. You will also assist with various nursing procedures, monitor vital signs, and provide education to patients and their families regarding care and treatment plans. In this position, you will be expected to perform a range of clinical tasks, including administering medications, assisting with IV therapy, and conducting EKGs. You will monitor patients' responses to interventions and document all nursing actions and patient progress accurately. Your role will also involve collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for each patient. You will be an essential part of the healthcare team, advocating for patients and ensuring that their needs are met in a timely and compassionate manner. This position requires a commitment to providing high-quality care to patients of diverse backgrounds, and you will be expected to uphold the values of respect, dignity, and empathy in all interactions. You will also assist with discharge planning and ensure that patients and their families are well-informed about post-discharge care and resources available to them.
