About The Position

Starr Regional Health and Rehab, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for long-term care. This position involves working 12-hour shifts as needed. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in making communities healthier by providing exceptional care to patients. You will work under the direction of an RN and contribute to patient assessments, perform care interventions, assist with daily living activities, and advocate for the well-being of patients.

Requirements

• Current Tennessee Licensed Practical Nurse license.
• Basic Life Support certification is required at the time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Contributes to the assessment of patients by collecting data for analysis by an RN.
• Performs plan of care interventions, including specimen collection and wound care.
• May administer medication and document patient care given.
• Assists RN with the development of the plan of care.
• Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Monitors, documents, and communicates patient's status and reactions to interventions with RN, physician, patient, and families.
• Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
