About The Position

Provide direct patient care according to established policies and procedures under the direction of a RN.

Requirements

• Graduation from accredited school of nursing.
• Current LPN license in the state of South Carolina.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required.

Nice To Haves

• Some clinical or hospital experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care according to established policies and procedures under the direction of a RN.
• Administers medication according to scope of practice, performs reassessments, collects data, takes histories, initiates IV access, provide wound care and assists in activities of daily living.
• Documents in the medical record, findings and information.
• Communicate appropriate medical and clinical information to the staff as required.
• Demonstrates sensitivity to patient comfort and privacy. Maintains confidentiality of patient and unit care data.
• Provides first line customer service response.
• Follows the Standards of Behaviors.
• Performs other miscellaneous duties as assigned
