The LPN supports the Provider in provision of individualized patient care, direct and indirect in an outpatient clinical setting. LPNs participate in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care, based on objectives, standards, and policies of nursing. They have the ability to handle a diverse range of situations and responsibilities, which is their primary duty. LPNs are responsible for rendering nursing care in an assigned area in terms of individualized patient needs, according to conformance with recognized nursing techniques, procedures, and established standards based on the scope of practice, under the direction/delegation of a Registered Nurse or Provider. The LPN Hyperbaric Technician is responsible for ensuring compliance in the program’s safety on behalf of the patients and organization; therefore, shall exercise discretion and independent judgment with respect to the health and safety policy and procedures of the program. The hyperbaric technician will work closely with the physician/provider in the coordination of patient care and make recommendations in procedures for the operations and maintenance of the hyperbaric program. The hyperbaric technician will resume responsibility for patients while patients are undergoing hyperbaric oxygen therapy and all components of patient care in regards to hyperbaric oxygen therapy.
