About The Position

Requirements

  • Graduate of a school of practical nursing or passed LPN Boards after a defined period in a professional nursing program.
  • If graduation did not occur within the last two years, one year of LPN experience in an applicable setting is required.
  • One year of LPN experience within the last five years is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience working in a team environment.
  • Computer skills required, with prior experience in electronic medical record systems preferred.
  • Ability to work daytime hours with flexibility to meet staffing needs.
  • Ability to adapt to unpredictable situations within the work setting.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing is preferred.
  • Current LPN license by applicable state requirements.
  • Maintains current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing care to assigned patients under the supervision of an RN or assigned supervisor.
  • Collect data through observation and communicate information to assist in patient assessment and care planning.
  • Deliver care in accordance with the patient care plan and organizational policies.
  • Participate as a member of the healthcare team and accept delegation from the RN and provider.
  • Possess excellent communication skills and mentor/instruct others as needed.
  • Participate in committees or projects, including quality improvement initiatives.
