About The Position

As a Federally Qualified Health Center, 501c3, our mission is to provide affordable, accessible, quality health care to the people of Northern New Mexico. El Centro Family Health is seeking a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse dedicated to serving the needs of our community.

Requirements

• High school diploma plus completion of an accredited course of study in licensed practical nursing.
• Current and valid New Mexico LPN licensure.
• Certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Minimum of one-year experience in a clinical setting.
• TST screening, background check, current New Mexico drivers' license and proof of automobile insurance.

• Ability to recognize and differentiate emergent, urgent, and non-urgent signs and symptoms in patients through physical assessment and telephone triage.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality in all patient contact, staff, and health care professionals.
• Knowledge of general nursing procedures, protocols, and patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing services for patients under the supervision of the Nurse Manager or Nurse Director.
• Conduct patient assessments as ordered by the Provider as part of the daily routine.
• Take verbal and written orders from the Provider.
• Perform wound care and assist with procedures.
• Provide essential patient care within the limitations and guidelines of the New Mexico State Nurse Practice Act.
