As a BHUC LPN, you will provide essential crisis care, assist individuals through critical moments, and deliver client-centered, solution-focused nursing support. Requirements

Graduated from an Approved Nursing Program
Active LPN Licensure through the North Carolina Board of Nursing.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of behavioral health principles and crisis intervention.
Ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care in a crisis setting.
Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively within the BHUC team.

Responsibilities

Conduct telephonic screenings to assess appropriateness for admission.
Perform nursing screenings upon arrival, including pregnancy tests, urine drug screens, and breathalyzers.
Collaborate with prescribers to review clinical information and determine medication needs or alternative care options.
Prepare, administer, and monitor prescribed medications.
Provide ongoing medical oversight throughout an individual’s stay.
