Role Overview As a Licensed Practical Nurse (10a-10p) at Perimeter Behavioral Health, you'll play a vital role in providing compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to patients in our behavioral health setting. This position combines clinical expertise with therapeutic engagement to support our patients' recovery journey.

Requirements

  • Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in Missouri or eligible compact state
  • Current CPR certification
  • Strong assessment and documentation skills
  • Excellent communication abilities
  • Crisis intervention capabilities

Nice To Haves

  • One year behavioral health nursing experience preferred
  • Psychiatric nursing background
  • Experience with children and adolescents preferred
  • Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification
  • Knowledge of behavioral health medications
  • CPI or Handle with Care upon hire

Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care to behavioral health patients
  • Administer medications according to prescribed orders
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in MARs
  • Monitor and assess patient conditions
  • Implement individual care plans
  • Coordinate with healthcare team members
  • Provide nursing group as needed
  • Develop and maintain therapeutic relationships with patients
  • Model and teach life skills for independent living
  • Provide de-escalation interventions when needed
  • Support patients in crisis situations
  • Create a safe and therapeutic environment
  • Maintain professional communication with physicians
  • Participate in treatment team meetings
  • Coordinate care with interdisciplinary team
  • Contribute to care planning and assessment
  • Mentor and support nursing team members
