About The Position

The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) / Licensed Professional Nurse (LPN) at Cornerstone Healthcare Group is responsible for providing direct and indirect nursing care to patients of varying ages, including those with medically complex conditions. This role involves working under the supervision of a Charge/Registered Nurse and requires adherence to established nursing standards and protocols. The LVN/LPN plays a crucial role in monitoring patient conditions, promoting teamwork, and ensuring high-quality care in a supportive healthcare environment.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited school of licensed vocational nursing or licensed practical nursing with a current state license in good standing.
• Maintain current BLS certification throughout employment.
• A minimum of two (2) years experience in an ICU environment is preferred for HOU/ICU LVN/LPN.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.

Nice To Haves

• Current ACLS certification preferred within one year of employment or as available courses allow.
• Two or more years of acute care or rehabilitation experience as a LVN / LPN is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect nursing care to patients ranging from 18 years to geriatric.
• Work under the supervision of the Charge/Registered Nurse to deliver care as delegated.
• Report changes in patient condition to the RN.
• Demonstrate knowledge and skill in the nursing process when providing patient care.
• Promote teamwork with physicians and personnel from other departments.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
