About The Position

We are seeking a Licensed Plumber to lead the development of our plumbing department—an opportunity to build something from the ground up within a well-established HVAC business. As our first Plumber, you’ll work directly with the General Manager to launch and grow this new division, taking ownership of department operations, recruiting future team members, and driving long-term success. This is a full-time position based in our Glastonbury, CT office, with a bonus compensation plan tied to growth.

Requirements

  • Licensed Plumber in Connecticut
  • Knowledge and experience with plumbing systems, components, and installation practices
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Excited about growth potential and leading a team
  • Safety must always be a top priority, with knowledge of OSHA standards and safe work practices
  • Regular activities include sitting, standing, walking, stooping, handling controls, hearing, and talking
  • Ability to climb ladders, work in hot/cold environments, and maneuver in crawl spaces
  • Capable of lifting and moving 50+ lbs on a regular basis
  • Willing to work outdoors in all seasons as required by the project scope

Nice To Haves

  • Business management experience (preferred, but willing to train the right candidate)
  • Familiarity with ServiceTitan (a plus)
  • Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Take the lead in developing and growing our plumbing department
  • Run sales calls and provide accurate pricing for work
  • Establish strong customer relationships by offering solutions and delivering quality service
  • Recruit, train, and manage future plumbing team members
  • Collaborate with other departments to support company-wide growth
  • Participate in training, company meetings, and events
