Our singular focus is Patient Care Second to None! Job Summary: Insight Comprehensive Therapy is in search of a full time Licensed Physical Therapist t o add to our dynamic team! There are immediate openings for our Flint location. Must be a self starter who is capable of working diligently and independently in a medical facility setting.

  • Performs initial and on-going assessments of patient's condition, for patient's in an inpatient setting as well as outpatient ambulatory case types
  • Establishes, revises and evaluates a plan of care which is appropriate to problems identified and involves the patient/family
  • Performs therapy interventions utilizing standard physical therapy techniques and skills as appropriate for the condition of the patient
  • The physical therapist evaluates and assesses participants to determine mobility level and other functional abilities
  • Provides and recommends therapeutic exercise, gait training, ambulation, etc.
  • Conducts initial assessment and periodic reassessment (minimally every 6 months) of all participants' physical condition and functional status
  • Assessments must be completed prior to scheduled team meeting
  • Communicate participants' changes to team
  • Develops Plan of Care, develops treatment programs when indicated, sets goals and provides treatment
  • Records and signs treatments in participants' chart, records, signs and dates Progress notes
  • Assesses the need for adaptive and durable medical equipment, specialized shoes, and prosthesis and makes recommendations to the Interdisciplinary Team
  • Actively functions as member of Interdisciplinary Team
  • Attends staff meetings and takes part in participant care planning
  • Communicates any changes in participant condition to team members
  • Demonstrates active participation in QI processes

  • Demonstrates eligibility to work for any employer in the U.S.
  • Must be licensed in the State of Michigan and/or eligible for licensure as required by the state practice guidelines
  • Master's Degree or Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy required; Must be a graduate of an accredited physical therapy curriculum
  • Current Basic Life Support certificate, or ability to obtain within 45 days of the date of hire
  • Previous experience preferred within a residential environment
  • Must demonstrate excellent communication skills, both verbal and written English communications for safe and effective patient care and to meet documentation standards
  • Ability to multitask and move between responsibilities in a fluid manner
  • Able to work in a fast-paced and stressful environment while maintaining positive energy
  • Willingness to participate in goal-setting and educational activities for professional advancement
  • Able to work compassionately with patients and coworkers to exhibit patient care second to none
  • Exudes respect and flexibility to impact the workplace in a positive manner
