About The Position

Adelphi is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to provide therapy services in a school setting located in Deming, New Mexico. The ideal candidate will work closely with the school administration to provide services to students in accordance with established guidelines and standards of practice.

Requirements

• Active Physical Therapist license issued by the appropriate state licensing authority prior to initiating services.
• Minimum of one (1) year experience providing physical therapy services to pediatric and/or school -aged populations.
• Demonstrated experience providing physical therapy services within public school settings under IEPs.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy services in alignment with students’ IEP goals, service minutes, and district calendar requirements.
• Conduct evaluations and re -evaluations to determine eligibility and support data -driven therapy planning.
• Collaborate with the IEP team to interpret evaluation results, determine eligibility, and develop measurable therapy goals and objectives.
• Participate in IEP meetings and complete required draft documentation at least 48 hours in advance.
• Monitor and report student progress, including timely progress reports and end -of -year summaries.
• Maintain accurate and compliant documentation, including therapy notes, service logs, Medicaid billing, and district -required reports; bill only for services rendered within contracted time.
• Engage in professional responsibilities, including staff meetings, in -service trainings, adherence to district policies, and collaboration with school personnel and administration.
