Position Summary: Provides professional physical therapy services to complement the Physical Therapist’s role of delivering superior care. Essential Job Functions: Follows through with treatment plans as established by a Physical Therapist Observes patients during treatments Compiles data on patients’ responses to treatments and progress and reports orally or in writing to the Physical Therapist Understands and complies with universal precautions, safety and risk policies and procedures Assists with department QA reports and records Performs necessary documentation including progress notes and logs in timely manner Monitors treatments administered by Physical Therapy Aids and/ or Rehab Technicians Performs clerical duties such as taking inventory, answering telephones and taking messages Utilizes and maintains equipment and supplies Prepares supplies as needed Keeps exam tables and pillows sanitized after every patient Sanitizes and keeps the clinical area tidy Performs Swinex pool maintenance on a daily basis to include placing appropriate chemicals in the pool, performing testing and keeps area clean and safe Maintains patient and Company confidentiality at all times Performs other appropriate duties as requested by supervisors Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and maintenance type issues Highly motivated and able to work independently Secondary Job Functions: Provides innovative input into the development of the departmental environments and processes Creates and maintains policy and procedures to State and Federal regulations Creates and maintains policy and procedures in relation to hospital/ clinic regulations
