About The Position

The Medical Associates Physical Therapy team is hiring a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to join our hardworking and fast-paced department! Position Details: Administer treatment program per treatment plan; clarify treatment instructions to patients and their families; confer with responsible physical therapist regarding patients' response to treatment plan; confer with other medical staff on pertinent issues related to patient care. Utilize support personnel in direct patient care and related activities in order to maintain quality of services delivered at the highest productivity. Maintain current and accurate patient documentation; review charts and reports regarding patient progress; discuss patient progress and plan of care with the responsible physical therapist. Bill for patient related care according to established procedures. Comply with Clinic policy and procedures, care protocols and utilization. Educate patients and families in proper care and use of various support and exercise programs. Complete all other assigned projects and duties. Requirements

  • Physical Therapist Assistant license
  • Motivated
  • Self-directed and autonomous
  • Patient-focused and excellent communication skills
  • Equivalent to a college degree and a professional certificate or a graduate degree
  • Must be a licensed PTA
  • A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact
  • Work involves extensive personal contact with others and/or is usually of a personal or sensitive nature
  • Work may involve motivating or influencing others
  • Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary

Nice To Haves

  • Experience preferred but not required
  • Experience: From three months to one year of similar or related experience.
